The first project output was preparation of a curriculum on how to prepare an herbal pharmacy at home. All project partners cooperated in developing a Home Herbal Pharmacy program that is adapted to each partner country’s context and includes theoretical classes, field classes (outings in nature, organized education, and demonstration of proper collection of wild medicinal plants while taking care of plant habitats and encouraging ecological awareness) as well practical classes (making preparations from previously collected medicinal wild plants).

On November 30, 2023, the Italian partner Studio Naturalistico Hyla organized and hosted the first meeting of the Siga Project – Senior in Green Action, welcoming the other 4 partners of the project.

From March 18th to 20th, we took part in the Digital Marketing Workshop in Palma de Mallorca. All Project partners participated in workshop:

SIGA (Seniors in Green Action) is a project aimed at developing an educational program for the elderly on the use of medicinal wild plants with an emphasis on preserving the habitat of wild plants for the purpose of environmental protection and natural balance.

In September 2024, the SIGA project conducted a pilot program in Palma, blending environmental education, traditional herbal knowledge, and hands-on experience with medicinal plants. This initiative offered participants a deep dive into the local flora, emphasizing sustainability, health, and nature-based learning.

Partners Gather to Share Insights and Plan Next Steps - The third transnational meeting of the project took place in Limassol, Cyprus, bringing together representatives from Croatia, Italy, Spain, and Slovenia.
