SIGA
“Seniors in Green Action”

Empowering Seniors Through Green Action.
The SIGA (Seniors in Green Action) project is supported by the Erasmus+ program, which prioritizes inclusion, sustainability, and lifelong learning, helping older adults enhance their skills while contributing to environmental protection.
The project empowers adults over 54 by teaching them about medicinal wild plants and their health benefits. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to sustainably harvest and prepare herbal remedies, improving their well-being and connection to nature. The program promotes lifelong learning, encouraging older adults to stay active, engaged, and informed about environmental protection.
The project includes a "Home Herbal Pharmacy" program, a handbook, and a digital platform with e-learning materials. It also includes a mini-curriculum on sustainability, integrated into adult education courses to foster ecological awareness. SIGA enhances the skills of educators, supporting them in teaching sustainability and promoting green practices in their institutions.
